Registration for Trauma 201 Training
Trauma 201 Training is being offered in various regions across the state! This very informative training is open to child welfare staff in any role who are interested in improving their understanding of the impact of trauma and want to learn effective ways for responding to individuals who have been affected. Trauma 201 training also contains valuable information about utilizing Family-Centered, Trauma-Informed and Strength-Based practices to engage and collaborate with families to support the achievement of safety, permanency and well-being outcomes. Additionally, Trauma 201 training provides useful strategies for addressing vicarious trauma, secondary traumatic stress and burnout among child welfare professionals. Model of Supervisory Practice Professional Development Series is now available!
The Office of Learning and Professional Development is pleased to announce that registration for the Model of Supervisory Practice is open! The training is open to anyone in a child welfare supervisory role within DCFS or private agencies. Dates and locations for the Model of Supervisory Practice can be found on the VTC listed under “Model of Supervision”. Due to high demand in Cook County, an additional training is being offered starting in September. The training will be held at 1911 S. Indiana in Chicago on the following dates: September 24th and 25th; October 22nd and 23rd; November 19th and 20th; and December 17th and 18th.
